She grew up in a large family, and was the last survivor of her family, having a sister and brother younger than she that predeceased her. Her school years as a child were spent in southern Oklahoma, her later and high school years were spent at Stonewall, Oklahoma except her last semester of high school where she attended school at Daugherty, Oklahoma where she received her diploma. After high school she worked at Douglas Aircraft Company in the closing years of World War II. In later years she worked as an office and dental assistant, office secretary to a counselor and her last employment as a Real Estate Associate for Red Carpet of Shawnee and Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ.
She had many hobbies, travel: seeing most of the US and some of Canada and Mexico, her flower gardens, oil painting, crotchet, skiing at Lake Texoma when she was young. She was also an avid reader, loved anything historic and never stopped loving to learn.
She married Clyde Bellamy, Jr. in Oklahoma City in 1947. They resided most of their married life in the Shawnee area, except for a short period when they lived in Norman, Oklahoma. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Shawnee in the 50’s.
They built a home in 1971 in the Tecumseh area and lived there for twenty-nine years with Clyde passing away in 1997. In 2000, she moved to Norman, Oklahoma where she resided until 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all siblings.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Bellamy(Kristie), of California and Rick Bellamy(Sherry) of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a special niece, Dyanna Brown, who was always there for her; and numerous nieces, nephews and greats and great-greats who were all special to her; and a special and well-loved pet, “Foxi”.
