Bill was a fun loving guy and loved to sing country music with his band, Bill Hudlow and the Western Playboys. He served his country for 2 years in the Navy. He owned and operated a used car business but his career was training race horses. He bred and trained Appaloosa Horses. “Navajo Britches” was the National Grand Champion in 1958 and a statue, painted like Navajo Britches can be found in front of Joe Cooper Ford. Bill was known throughout the country for his Appaloosa Horses and even has his own chapter in a book, Spotted Pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Ernestine Gravley and Sue Scott.
He is survived by his son, David Hudlow and wife, Terri; grandson, Daniel Judkins; brother, Dean Hudlow; sister, Bettye Carlston; significant other, Eva Kellog; and extened family and friends.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home with Richard Gay officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
