Bettie Jo Atterberry

Bettie, the daughter of Joseph Gilbert and Alma Gilbert (Odell), was a homemaker. She loved to knit, read, garden and loved fishing. She and her husband of 66 years, R.C. Atterberry cared for their farmland west of Maud, from 1948 until they retired to Shawnee. She was a dedicated member of Sharon Baptist Church. Bettie was very proud of her 4 children. She was a loving mother and Grandmother to all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four brothers and sisters.

Bettie is survived by her four children Betty Gilbert, of Shawnee; Nina Garland, of Arkansas; Gerald Atterberry, of Newalla; Gene Atterberry, of Texas; and numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great- Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 23, 2011 at Sharon Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. For additional information, please visit our website at www.ResthavenFH.com
