Lucille Galish (nee Hampton) of Mimosa Lane, West Chester, Ohio, went to be with Jesus on February 24, 2017 at the age of 91. She also lived in St. Augustine, Florida and Rensselaer, New York. She worked as a bookkeeper, hairdresser, and executive secretary. Her greatest occupation however was that of a loving wife and mother. She personified the “greatest generation” in sacrifice, thrift, work ethic and love of God and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Stephen, and her sister Mildred Lutz. Survivors include her children Stephanie Bonn, Theresa (Raymond) Primeau, Stephen (Abigail) Galish, Andrew (Christine) Galish, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She also had at least two unofficially adopted sons, George Dushensky and Bill Weatherby.
She loved many things in this brief life including sewing, quilting, and until recently gardening. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made to: Cincinnati Center for Autism, 346 Cameron Road, Springdale Ohio (cincinnaticenterforautism.org).
