To Dave Dygert and his Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. My sincere condolences to entire Dygert Family.

My sincere condolences to the James Dygert family for your loss. I new Jim for many years while serving as Lakota Superintendent of Schools from 1981-1994. It was a pleasure working with Jim during that period. Jim was what I would call a real first class Journalist. Working in a high profile public job meant things didn't always go well and you heard about it when you read  the local paper. Without fail, Jim always reported, what ever the topic, accurately. I remember reading many an article and thinking....well that is exactly right...Jim always got it right even if the report was not flattering for the schools. He was fair, objective, thorough, accurate and professional! 
For what it's worth, I told Jim essentially that when I retired and thanked him. Jim was a good man and I am sure he will be missed.
