Bethany Faith Vankersen-Smart

Bethany Faith Vankersen -Smart 23, Darling daughter of Norman and Veronica (nee’ Bair) Smart passed away December 21, 2017 after a brief illness at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Gabrielle Hope. Bethany was loved and adored by everyone who knew her-- family and friends alike. She shared a sweet bond with her sister Megan Renee. Bethany was especially loved by the staff at St. Joseph Home where she has resided since 2011. She and her family’s life has been forever enriched by the goodness of the people there. In life, Bethany was blind due to retinopathy of prematurity, but in death Bethany’s corneas were recovered, and through her two people may receive the gift of sight.
