He was born in Cumberland County, NC on October 7, 1941 the son of the late, David Alexander Heath and Vira Everlene Jackson Heath and was preceded in death by a sister, Merle Nolkamper also a brother, Gene Heath.
Mr. Haywood was a member of Myrtle Head Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Loy R. Heath of the home; his children, Garrison Nance and wife, Sheila of Lumberton, , Bonita Nance of Shallotte and Mark Nance and wife Karen of Ash; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Sarah, Brooke, Jared, Christy and Marissa; five great-grandchildren, Donita, Dakota, Christian, Kayleigh and Seth; two brothers, Milton Heath and wife, Ann of Murfreesboro, TN and Chase Heath and wife, Cathy of Murrells Inlet, SC; two sisters Helen Strickland and husband Ray of Raleigh, NC and Betty Heath Olaveson of California; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Suggs Heath of Fayetteville, NC; a brother-in-law, Milton Nolkamper of Texas a special dog “Boy Boy ”.
A celebration of life will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel by Reverend Jason Benton officiating.
There will a time a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
