Morris J. Hall

Mr. Hall was born in Henry County, Virginia on July 5, 1931 and was the son of the late Elick Brown Hall and Pearl Setliff Hall. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jane Hall and a sister, Lucille Hall Henderson. Mr. Hall was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman where enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and boating. He was also an avid golfer. Mr. Hall enjoyed being around others and fellowshipping and especially telling jokes. He was a retired school teacher during which time he served as a coach, referee and was also a driver’s education instructor. After moving to Shallotte 34 years ago he became very involved in the community by serving with the Shallotte Fire Department and also had served on the Shallotte Board of Alderman.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda Hartis Hall; a daughter, Kimberlee Hall of Disputanta, Virginia and four grandchildren, Caleb, Brianna, Camryn and Courtney; loyal caretaker and great niece, Sara Roetken of Shallotte, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday April 4, 2023 at six o’clock in the evening at Camp United Methodist Church with Reverend Terry Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
