Matthew James Earnhardt

Matthew was the dear son of Nelson and Tracy Earnhardt. Matthew had a heart of gold. He greeted everyone with a big smile and a hug. He always saw the good in others, never met a stranger, an old soul, who lived life to the fullest.

Matthew was a graduate of West Stanly High School in 2013. He was employed at Victaulic as a welder. But, his true love was for antiques- flea-markets, yard sales or just riding around for “stuff”, he might have called it treasures~ some might call it junk.

Matthew is survived by his loving parents, Nelson and Tracy Earnhardt of Calabash, NC. Sisters Danielle and husband Ross, Hailee Earnhardt. Nephews Jaxon & Makoa, niece Stevie. Uncles and Aunts Scott and Michelle Grubbs, Terrance and Angie Earnhardt Jeffery and Michelle Earnhardt. Cousins Tyler and Ryan Grubbs, Terra Poplin, Melinda, Timothy, Tiffany, Kate and Gracie Earnhardt.

Matthew is proceeded in death by his Grandparents, James and Betty Sue Earnhardt, Randall Grubbs, Kay and Bryce Holbrook.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 4th at 2:00 at Shallotte Church of Christ 304 Bricklanding Road SW Shallotte, NC 28459. Officiated by Andy King.

The family will meet at Sunset Beach by the pier after the service to share our memories of him. Dress casual and bring a beach chair.
