JUNE ELIZABETH STANLEY, 72, of Shallotte died Tuesday April 4, 2017. June was born in Brunswick County on August 4, 1944 and was the daughter of the late William Amos Stanley and Grace Gurganus Stanley. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Farmer and a God Son, Brian Chestnut. June was a lover of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was proud of her personal relationship with him. She also loved her family very much, especially her three best friends which were her daughters. She admired dearly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping and doing for others especially the elderly. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed fishing. She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Farmer and husband Chris of Shallotte, Lorrie Vann and husband Curtiss of Castle Hayne, Christy Bowens and husband Shoun of Shallotte; grandchildren, Jared Farmer, Neil Williams, Zachery Bowens and girlfriend Bethany, Grace Brown and husband Hunter; great-grandchildren, Lindzey, Katie, Haley, June; significant other, Randy Cox and Family of Shallotte; sister in-law, Jan Stanley of Shallotte; special nephew, Len Maready of Florida. A celebration of life service will be held Friday April 7, 2017 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Jennies Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Shelor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday and other times from the home of Sarah and Chris Farmer.
