Still hard to believe. Many good memories together....

My sincere condolences to Johnny's family. May the Lord continue to comfort and give you strength.
I worked with Johnny for about 37 years and he was always very dependable, knowledgeable and easy to work with.
 He was a great person to hang out with away from work too. We took scuba diving classes together and when we went diving in many of the springs in Florida and the Keys he was always my dive buddy. I've had some dive buddies that when you look around, they're way off somewhere but not Johnny, I could always rely on him being right there beside me so that if either of us needed help it was there.
  I do and will miss Johnny and his quiet mannerisms and miss hearing him call me Godfrey.

I remember John as a real gentleman, a hard worker, and very friendly.  I felt very sad when I heard he passed.  Prayers for his wife, his mother, and the rest of his family.  He was a good man.

During this difficult time, I hope somehow Tracy and the family can take some comfort in knowing that there are a lot of us who thought a lot of Johnny.  I was lucky enough to work with him for more than 25 years at the Harris Plant.  He was the ‘go to’ guy on the most important and most difficult jobs in the plant.  His mechanical knowledge and attention to detail were second to none.  His positive attitude, humble nature, and willingness to teach those of us less experienced, were most admirable.  He set a good example for all of us to follow both professionally and personally.  The world has lost a truly great guy much too soon, but the positive mark Johnny left on many of us will not be forgotten.

Thank you for the special moments you spent with our family.... .time with me on the golf course and a joy to see you coming through the back gate to play cornhole. Times around the  fire drinking a beer or two. Remembering the first time we met at the Tree of Knowledge and Zeik was with you. Your friendship will always be treasured! We will meet again one day in another time. Save a place for me. Love you man. 

Be strong family for never makes a mistake. We are blessed to have  crossed pathways with John (JB). He was a remarkable co-worker and I considered him friend.  Worked together for several years with CP&L through all the changes(1978-2014).  Thank you JB! Our prayer is GOD would send an angel of confort for his family and friends... rob howard    

Always thought a lot of Johnny, hard worker. RIP brother.  

Johnny was always refered to as a good guy. Johnny enjoyed life, snow sking, water sking, racing, boating, Corvettes, fishing, golfing and mainly helping others. Johnny always assured he did more than his part. I was very blessed to have had Johnny as a very good friend. I worked with Johnny many times over the years he worked on the turbines and in the plants.  Johnny spoke of his mother often and made sure he made visits regularly.  Johnny was grateful to have met Tracy and loved her deeply. Such a loss taken much earlier than anyone would want. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tracy, Mrs. Branch and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the many friends Johnny came to know over the years. Ole buddy you will truly be missed.  Sincerely Ricky..

Johnny Branch,Johnny Melton and myself was working an outage at Robinson .Valves. I lapped one boy, perfect. Next morning .  Johnny Branch says I found a  scratch on the seat. Sure enough it was there. These valves were critical to the plant . He was that kind of guy. Didn’t miss a damn thing. I was there the night he met his wife down in Florida. Same thing. Didn’t miss a thing. What a catch!  Love you Johnny you were one one the brothers. Worked with Johnny many years JV

I worked with John for a long time. He was always so easy to talk to and work with when he came to the Work Control Center. I can’t believe he is gone. 

Tracy, John was a dear friend and great neighbor.  Marianne and I will miss him dearly. Afternoons wtr skiing with John and Paul lambdin were such fun!  As we're sure you know, his love for you was strong and steadfast.  We will be praying for God to be close to you during this difficult time.

Tracey,  So sorry to hear of Johnny’s Passing. Worked with him at several CP&L Progress Energy plants. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. 

Johnny, we had the pleasure of  knowing you through the marriage of your stepson, Jerry and our daughter Ashley. You always treated Jerry as if he was your son. The respect you had for each other was so beautiful to see. You were always a pleasure to be with.  We're so glad we got to spend this past birthday with you, Tracy, Ashley and Jerry.  Rest in peace.  Tracy you have many beautiful memories with Johnny,  and he will always love you❤


John was a kind and good person, as well as a very knowledgeable mechanic at HNP. Worked with John many years ago. I hope the family will find peace and comfort during this difficult time and in the future. 

John was always very respectful and helpful anytime I worked with him at the power plant. He will be missed. Prayers sent to those who love and miss him physically in their lives.

My oh so sweet , gentle , generous , loving brother in law.  You will be missed beyond words by those that love you. I will forever miss your southern , soft spoken words while telling a story .   I promise you , I will always be here for Tracy .    Rest easy Johnny !    Until we meet again. 

It has been a long time since we worked together but I remember like it was yesterday. You were a good man, kind and decent and forever hard working.  I always had the greatest respect for you and the work you did. It was forever hot and dirty and cramped and yet you never complained. You helped us make clean power and helped Harris to be a success and you did it all with decency and the greatest professionalism. 
Prayers for your family during this difficult time. You will be missed by so many.

We worked with Johnny for many, many years. He was always a gentleman and friend. Life is sometimes very unfair and here is a perfect example. What a loss and we are grieving as well. We will miss him like many others. Sad times. 

JB was definitely part of our nuclear plant family! We have so many wonderful memories both on and off the job!  He will be missed ❤️🙏🏻

Earl and I could not have asked for a better neighbor.  We shared many laughs and a lot of good food over the years.  We were so shocked to get the news that he was so ill.  Tracy remember all of those special times and know that John's love will always be with you.  We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
