Betsy was born January 31, 1950 in Waterbury, Connecticut, daughter of the late Thomas Sheehan and Helen Hanson Sheehan. She grew up and attended college in Connecticut where she met her husband Allen. They moved their family to North Carolina thirty years ago and made their home in Wrightsville Beach until venturing back to Connecticut before lastly settling in Calabash, North Carolina. Betsy enjoyed cooking for others, going to the beach, riding her pink trike, playing mahjong, water aerobics, and reading. Making friends came easy to her. She was strong willed and loved many of her dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol DeLeo.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Allen Steven Zwolinski of Calabash; children, Carl Steven Zwolinski and wife Jill of Seymour, Connecticut and Amber Lynn Zwolinski of Carolina Shores, North Carolina; one grandson, Arek Zwolinski; siblings,Thomas F. Sheehan Jr. and his wife Linda of Bonita Springs, Florida, Cathy Unger of Middlebury, Connecticut, Debra Sheehan of Waterbury, Connecticut, John “Tim” Sheehan and his wife Charlene of Toms River, New Jersey, LouAnn Michaud and her husband Ron of Southbury, Connecticut, and Christine Tarullo and her husband Louis of Rotonda West, Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 at eleven o'clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina.
