Mr. Varnam was born in Southport, NC on June 24, 1948 and was the son of the late Eddie and Lucille Clemmons Varnam. He was a very talented and gifted artist. His prints can be found throughout Brunswick County and the United States and also internationally. He will also be remembered for the many Baptistery scenes he painted for many area churches.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Varnam; two children, Brandon Varnam and wife Nicole of Supply and Elizabeth "Daddy's Girl" Varnam of the home; three grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, Riley; a sister, Gail Smith and husband Ted of Ash; two nieces, Melody and Katie.
A memorial service will be held Thursday August 29, 2019 at seven o'clock in the evening at Shallotte Community Chapel, Highway 130 East, Shallotte with Reverend Randy Sullivan and Reverend Mike Escalante officiating.
