Donald John Ryan

A Funeral Mass will be held 9:00 am Friday Morning May 25, 2018 at The Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church North Myrtle Beach, SC.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday Evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel.

He was born July 31, 1923 in Bronx, New York to John and Loretta (KehL) Ryan. Mr. Ryan served United States Navy, during World War, II on a PT boat as a gunner for 3 years in the South Pacific.

After the War, he worked many years (30) for Consolidated Edison Company in New York City as an underground Splicer. In 1984, Mr. Ryan came to retire in North Carolina with his wife Corinne, where they built their retirement home in Sunset Beach, where they enjoyed traveling the country for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years of marriage, Corinne.

Surviving are a daughter, Diane Ryan Mikula and husband, Gerard; a son, Thomas Ryan; a granddaughter, Martine Julia Johnson and his great-grandson, DJ Ortiz.
