He was born on August 12, 1939 in Dillon, South Carolina to the late R.P. Norton and Ida May Hyatt Norton.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Norton.
Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Patricia Barbour; brothers, Jack Norton and Hensley Norton; sister, Katie Peebles; and grandson, Bobby G. Barbour.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Dr, Shallotte, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:00AM at Cross Rock Baptist Church, 340 Mulberry Street, Shallotte, North Carolina with Reverend Tommy Inman officiating. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 12:00PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, North Carolina.
