TETRAULT, Richard Louis, 76, of Largo, FL., passed away Saturday. September 25, 2010 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL. He was born in Troy, NY and moved to Florida in 1999 from Latham, NY, where he retired from the Norton Company as a sales representative in the Watervliet, NY and Worcester, MA offices covering the five New England states. Rich was a Roman Catholic, a member of the Sierra Club and the Clearwater Kennel Club. He owned and showed Great Danes. He was a volunteer for the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, and was an avid golfer and a life long Yankee fan, but watched and attended Rays games regularly. Rich faithfully watched F.S.U. football games hoping to see his two grandchildren, Amber in the Marching Chiefs and Alex, a team trainer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Richard Tetrault.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janice Scott Tetrault; a daughter, Barbara Ferguson of Clearwater, FL; brothers, William of Hendersonville, NC and Louis of Cohoes, NY; a sister, Joan Droege of Scotia, NY; and grandchildren, Alex and Amber.
Visitation held Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Entombment at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary or Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
