Turner, Mary W., 94, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Hospice Woodside. Mary was employed as a secretary during her working years, and was a member of The American Business Women's Association. She was a very active member since 1988 with the Ladies Oriental Shrine, North America, Tahuti Court # 44, where she was served as High Priestess (1994-1995) and after as Past High Priestess; a member of The Order of the Eastern Star –Bethlehem Chapter # 169 and Daughters of the Nile – Elim Temple, # 76. Mary was born in Manchester, Georgia on Nov. 21, 1925. She was married to the late Archie C. Turner, Jr. for over 50 years. During her retirement she most enjoyed her great-grandchildren and doing many things with her BFF, Velma Ellis. For much of her life she enjoyed volunteering and crafts, especially crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Rice (Everett); her son, Chuck Turner (Laura); grandchildren, Julia Rice-Hanson (Trevor), Matthew Rice (Jennifer), Everett Rice, Jr.(Gerry) and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Harper Hanson, Garrett and Everett Rice, Allison Rice, Taylor Ross and great-great-grandchildren Emery and Harlow Ross.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Pasadena Presbyterian Church – Fellowship Hall, 100 Pasadena Ave N, St. Pete. FL 33710. Her final resting place will be with her husband in Savannah, Georgia.
