John Thomas Popp Jr.

He was married to his devoted wife, Susan, on July 28, 1979, and together they built a life full of love, and cherished memories.

John had a career in bank security at SunTrust Bank. Outside of work, John had a deep love for sports, particularly the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. His enthusiasm for outdoor activities was often expressed in his participation in horseshoe tournaments with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; his mother, Norma G. Popp; his brother, Robert Popp; his daughters, Jessica J. Ostrander, Amanda L. Popp, and Melissa S. Bowman; and his beloved grandchildren, Nataleigh N. Symes, Aubrey J. Ostrander, Hailey G. Ostrander, Paisley A. Bowman, Tristan Bowman, Milani A. Bowman, and Everett J. Fogelsonger.

A funeral service for John will be held 5pm Monday, April 7, 2025 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131 Street North, Seminole, FL 33776. The family will be receiving family and friends from 4:30pm - 5pm.
