Joan L. Furlong, 78, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on January 22, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 4, 1945. She moved to New Jersey in the early 1950’s. She worked for L’Oréal and then moved on to become a part time phone operator for several doctors and surgeons. She mostly stayed at home to raise her 3 daughters in Linden, NJ. In 1988, she moved to Florida where she worked in housekeeping for several condos along the Redington Beach area. She was fun, bright, determined and loving. She loved being on the beach, being surrounded by her family and friends, playing with her grandkids, crafting and had a talent for drawing beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcie Ingandela, her husband, William Furlong, her Mother, Edna Paulson, her brother, Michael Paulson and her daughter Kimberly Nozewski. She is survived by her brother, Donald Paulson of Cranford, NJ, her twin sister, Janet Dymkowski of Largo, FL, her daughter, Kristan Marcum of Seminole, FL, and her granddaughters, Nicole Nozewski of Linden, NJ and Abigail Marcum of Seminole, FL, her grandsons, Brian Nozewski of Linden, NJ and Jacob Marcum of Seminole, FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A funeral will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2pm, Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home in Seminole, FL. The graveside service will immediately follow at 3pm.
