Jim Spears

Jim's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and a genuine passion for both his family and his work. He was united in marriage to his beloved Kathleen on March 6, 1965, and together they built a beautiful life that was filled with unwavering love, laughter, and cherished memories. Jim devoted 31 years of his life to Precisionaire, where he worked as a mechanical engineer and production manager, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him. He then spent 17 years serving as the maintenance manager at Seminole First Baptist Church, where his steady presence and tireless work ethic left an indelible mark on the community.

Though Jim’s professional life was full of accomplishments, it was his devotion to family and his love for cars that truly defined him. He was a man of rare character, always quick with a joke, a word of wisdom, or a helping hand. His warmth, humor, and generosity will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Granville Spears, and his mother, Winnie Spears. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Spears; his siblings, Darrell Spears and Susie Pierce; his children, Vanisa Spears Tilka, Teresa Spears Bord, and James "Jimmy" E. Spears Jr. (Michelle); his 8 grandchildren; his 12 great-grandchildren; his aunt, Shirley Stone; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jim also leaves behind countless friends who cherished him.

A visitation for Jim will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131 Street North, Seminole, FL 33776. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Seminole First Baptist Church, 11045 Park Blvd, Seminole, FL 33772. A graveside service will occur Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home & Cemetery, 7950 131st St N, Seminole, FL 33776.

The family is accepting flowers but if you would like to make donation, the family asks that donations be made to Seminole First Baptist.
