James A. Mackinnon

Survived by Marianne his beloved wife of 68 years, loving father to Jimmy and Patty, his grandchildren Jennifer, James, Jacqueline, Kristen, and great grandchild Madison.

James, born in Brooklyn, NY February 10, 1918, worked as an Underwriter for 31 years with AIG in Manhattan, retiring to Florida 28 years ago to relax and read the newspapers.

His humor, certainly on the up and up, although sometimes unusual, would always bring laughter to those around him, even during difficult times, and will be remembered forever.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home in Seminole, FL. with internment following in Garden Sanctuary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James' name to Community Bible Baptist Church St. Petersburg where he and Marianne worshiped together for many years, and the Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL.
