James V. Baldanza, 96, of North Redington Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024 at the Memory Care unit at Freedom Square, he was born on May 22, 1927 in New York City. He grew up in Queens, NY where he graduated from Long Island City High School. He was one of 7 children of Santo and Josephine, all of whom have predeceased him. He was the person that his brothers and sisters always turned to whenever they needed advice or help. He served in the U.S. Army.
After a successful career in NYC, he moved to North Redington Beach, FL in 1981 with his wife Veronica, where he immersed himself in his new community. He became a well-known local real estate investor, as he truly enjoyed the art of locating, buying, improving, and selling properties. He truly enjoyed the art of making the deal.
Anyone who knew him, knew he always enjoyed doing things his way. He was an avid reader; no matter where he was, you could always find him reading his NY Post.
He was a past commissioner of North Redington Beach, as well as was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 272 of Madeira Beach. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica; his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7950 131st st n, Seminole, FL 33776.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday Jan. 31st, 2024 from 4-7pm. Funeral service will follow on Thursday February 1st, 2024 at 10am with a graveside service with military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Suncoast Hospice.
