Rev. Herbert H Peters, 91, of Seminole, FL passed away on Thurs, July 24, 2014 at the Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, FL. Rev Peters was born on March 11, 1923 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to the late Abraham & Nellie (Lowen) Peters. He moved to this area in 1986 from St Louis, Missouri. Rev Peters was the Executive Director of the Open Door Ministries, and inner city ministry which served Jackson, MS; St. Louis, MO; Sacramento, CA, and St. Petersburg, FL over a period of almost 50 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Sarah C. Peters in 2001.
Surviving is wife, Grace Evans Peters of Oshawa, Canada. Also surviving are two sons; Gary (Elizabeth) Peters of Parrish, FL and Renny (Pat) Peters of Chicago, IL, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Services held privately.
