Geraldine (Jeri) Lorraine Sileo, known affectionately as Momma, passed away on September 25, 2024, in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. Born on May 16, Jeri's life was marked by her vibrant spirit and multifaceted talents.
Jeri's personality was as dynamic as her skills. A natural entertainer, she could play melodies by ear on multiple instruments, including the violin, ukulele, piano, and accordion, captivating audiences with her superb musicianship. Her passions extended beyond music to dancing and storytelling, where she believed no story was complete unless it could be told and laughed at multiple times. Jeri's zest for life was evident in her love for holiday gatherings and celebrations, truly making every day on Earth a vibrant experience. Known for her stunning presence, Jeri was a joyous individual who left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Throughout her career, Jeri was a talented seamstress, worked as a loan officer at Continental Bank, provided celebrity show detail at Playboy Casino, and was a sales assistant at a vintage consignment shop and Crystal Connection. Each role showcased her diverse abilities and her knack for turning every interaction into a blessing.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, Rocco Sileo and Mabel G. Bruce, and her siblings, Raymond V. Sileo, Vincent Sileo, Ralph Sileo, Thomas Sileo, and Lorraine Avicolli-Marsini. She also outlived her lifelong friends Nora (Renee) Buecker, Carmella DeSantis, Connie Avila, Bob Sims, and Louis Selden. She is survived by her daughters, Lauren Gaul and Darlene Avila (Kevin Hodill), her aunt Eileen Holt, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her deeply.
A memorial service and celebration of Jeri's life will be held at a later date due to Hurricane Helene. Additional details will be provided by the Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home & Cemetery in Seminole, Florida.
