Vincent J. Laurie

Born in Jersey City, NJ on June 17, 1938 to Anne and James Laurie.

Vincent attended Ferris High School in Jersey City, NJ; from there he would go on to be a truck driver. He worked for Hennis Freight Company and later for Ward Trucking Company from which he would retire.

He enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City, North Wildwood and Las Vegas, and was a fan of the Yankees and the Jets. He loved horses, and his hobbies included flower gardening, reading and cooking.

Beloved father of JoAnn Sismilich and her husband Robert, Antoniette Descalzi and her husband Paul, and Irene Salvatore and her husband Joseph; cherished grandfather of Kerrianne Sullivan and her husband Christopher, Kristen Sismilich, Noel Fiorentinos and her husband Nick, Devon Flores and her husband Samuel, Tara Descalzi, and Toni Rose and Nikki Salvatore; adoring great-grandfather of Vaida Lou and Nick Antonios Fiorentinos, and James Bear and Freya Seraphina Sullivan; and dear brother of the late Joseph and Alfred Laurie.

A visitation for Vincent will be held Tuesday, September 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 6 from 10:45 to 11:45 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 1219 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ.
