Thomas Rutowski

Thomas, “Tom” Rutowski, age 78, of Secaucus, New Jersey passed away on November 23, 2020. He was born on January 9, 1942, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey and then moved to Secaucus, New Jersey, 56 years ago, to raise his family with his wife, Catherine. He was a devoted husband and father to his 3 children.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Cathy, nee Meich, Rutowski of 58 years, his children Karen (Anthony), Thomas (Marilena) and Jeff (Shannon), his grandchildren Marissa, Kate, Jack, Grace and Emma and his sister Elizabeth Klos. He is predeceased by his parents Agatha and John Rutowski and brother John Rutowski. After a long career in the food industry, Tom retired in 2007 after many years of service with Coca-Cola.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his family at their lake house in Greenwood Lake, New Jersey. He loved teaching his children how to water ski, and fish on Sunday mornings with his father in law Pete, and playing countless games of bean bag and cards. Tom was a loving patient grandfather who made lifelong memories with his grandchildren that they will never forget. He knew it was important to give back to the community and friends. Often, he would open up his home to others in need. He spent many afternoons relaxing in his big black recliner watching his beloved NY Giants and Yankees.

Tom will be remembered for his kind soul, loving advice, and always being there for his family.
