Robert J. Scala

Robert J. Scala, 81, of Secaucus, NJ passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. He was born October 10th 1942 in Jersey City to the late Joseph and Eleanor (Cavanaugh) Scala and lived in North Bergen and the last 50 years here in Secaucus.

Robert was married to Marie for 59 years and they raised 3 Sons together. He was an Embroidery Manager by trade for many years for Tiger Embroidery in West New York and most recently worked for Home Depot here in Secaucus.

Beloved Husband of Marie (Romano); loving father of Robert Scala and his wife Toni Ann, Joseph Scala and his wife Judy, and the late Michael Scala and his wife Jamie; adoring grandfather of Tammy Jannicelli and her husband Rob, Robert Scala III and his wife Bea, Michelle Arriaga and her husband Kalven, Lindsay Powers and her husband Kyle, Christopher Scala, Jenna Scala, Michael Scala, and Joelle Scala; cherished great-grandfather of Michael Jannicelli, and Robert Jannicelli; dear brother of Joan Rizzo and her late huband Gus Rizzo, Elaine Lovato and her husband Frank Lovato, Carol DeMartin and her husband Danny DeMartin, and Patricia Genarelli and her husband Jerome Genarelli; Son in law of the Late Joseph Romano and the late Nancy (Laterza) Romano; Brother in law of Ann Russo and her late husband Tony, and the late Frank Romano and his wife Judy Romano as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation for Robert will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, with a prayer service here at the Funeral Home at 12:30 PM. followed by his entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd. North Arlington, NJ.
