This is the story of Patricia (Patty, Trisha) Belenski. She was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished by her son Sean, her sisters Linda and Sue, her brother Ed, brothers-in-law Lorenzo and Steve, sister-in-law Toni, nieces and nephews, cousins, many close friends, and the people whose lives she touched with her giving ways.
Her desire to help people began at an early age. During her high school years, Patty would volunteer at The Elms and conduct painting classes with the seniors. As the Student Council President for Secaucus High School Class of 1977, she collected food and clothing for veterans and put together Easter baskets for less fortunate children and their families.
Patty’s devotion to help others continued throughout her adult life. In the past few years she helped collect items for backpacks for Nicaraguan children and organized many dinners for the veterans. She was involved with the PERC shelter and spent numerous hours helping young teens and children through CASA. Many other organizations benefited from her giving spirit and kind heart.
It is no surprise that she had such a passion for the Meals with A Mission organization, since Patty was renowned for her cooking skills. Whenever entering her and Sean’s home there was something in the oven filling the place with wonderful aromas. Everyone who stopped by always knew they would have plenty of delicious homemade food to eat, and probably get to take some leftovers home as well. Patty truly enjoyed making soups and trays of food for those she loved and those she had not met. Hosting dinners with family and friends was one of her favorite activities.
In short, Patty was an incredible mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, friend, and true humanitarian who forever touched the hearts of many. We will miss your smile, laugh, and kind giving soul. We love you. Your story goes on, forever in our hearts, until we see you again.
