Mary H. Rinaldi, age 95, of Secaucus, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Mary was born to the late Thomas and Annie (Moschello) Visaggio in Hoboken, NJ and was one of the most acclaimed champion bowlers in Hudson County’s history, being named by The Women’s International Bowling Congress and inducted into the Hudson County Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame on October 15, 1993. Amongst her celebrated career of literally hundreds of honors and awards, including a State Championship Doubles title, Mary held the Hudson Country record for the highest 3-game series ever, bowling a 704 series that lasted 8-years before being topped. The same night of her record, Mary bowled a 3-game make-up series backing it up with a 659 series as well.
In her early years, while bowling as an amateur, Mary worked for The Keuffel and Esser Manufacturing Complex in Hoboken, NJ, known later as the Clock Towers, a nationally registered historical structure and manufacturer of architectural, engineering and drafting instruments between 1907 and 1968. Later, Mary was a customer service representative for Sears & Roebuck, Secaucus, NJ, from where she ultimately retired in the late 1970’s.
Mary was the Beloved Wife of the late Captain Anthony T. Rinaldi II; Devoted Mother of Anthony III and his wife Joan; Cherished Grand Mother of Anthony IV and his fiancé Michele Palazzo, Frankie Rinaldi and his girlfriend Kaitlin (Katie) Boncore, and Julia Rinaldi and her boyfriend Thomas (Tommy) Schaffer and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She is predeceased by her two brothers Andrew Visaggio and Thomas Visaggio.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, January 31st from 4 to 8PM at The Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Wednesday, February 1st at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, and thence to Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ for her burial.
