My brother and I always have in common that we were in the service.  We loved to make others laugh and had a good time together.  But, I was always the funnier one.  Seriously though I will miss him and I have thought about so many memories over the past month.  Love, Uncle Glenn

It's been a month since your dad passed away.  I still can't believe that Uncle Jerry is gone. I can remember as a child all the visits he made upstate and I remember that families all getting together at Grandma's, and in later years, at Aunt Bev's.  We all had so much fun together.  I remember a couple of years ago when he visited our house and well sat up by the pool and talked and had a good time.  Uncle Jerry definitely liked to joke around and made us laugh with stories.  Roberts Family get-togethers were very enjoyable.  You will be missed, but I am glad you are with Aunt Kitty again.

It was always a party when you were around.  Your witty sense of humor, your stories, your smile, your love and adoration for your family, and your kind words always brightened the room!  I loved the times our families spent together.  You will be missed terribly but I know you are up there loving and laughing with Kitty now!

Hey Jerry,  It's Precious".  I'm thinking about all the times you "The NewYorkers"  drove upstate and how everyone would try to gather together to visit with you and your family.  We didn't see each other often enough but, but when we did, it was always fun.  You could make us laugh and raise our spirits even when things may have not been good at the time.  I know right now you're happy to be with Kitty again but you will surely be missed and thought of often. Whenever I hear someone say 'precious', I'll think of you, smile and hope that you are looking down on me.   Love you Jerry.

Uncle Jerry... Still shocked that your gone ,  you will be missed! I can remember all our visits down to the city and yours upstate when everyone would get together it was so much fun.  Your sense of humor when you and my dad the rest of the brothers were together and made everyone laugh.  You could make someone smile even when they didn't want to or feel like they could. There are so many fond memories I have of 106 Marshall Ave, I learned so much in that first apartment on the left.  There was a guy who lived there, he was known as Eddie Haskell by some, Mr. R to others.  Great guy, he loved his family and friends like no one I've met before.  I learned so much about being a Dad from him and if I'm half as good as he was that's pretty darn good.  Did I mention his calves, he had the best damn calves on Marshall Ave, if not all of Little Ferry.  But in all seriousness, he was a loving man, and when he lost the love of his life, Mrs. R, part of him went to heaven.  And I think this week, for all who knew and loved him, part of us went to heaven too.  Mr. R, we loved you and your memory will ALWAYS warm my heart and bring a smile to my face.  Thanks for the fond memories and the good times my friend.  You will always be missed but never forgotten.  Thank you for being you.

Dear Dbl R, Jay Bird and Nor,
     All those years on patrol and driving down Marshall Ave and seeing Mr. R walking to the liquor store for his lottery habit, i would always stop and say hello out the window and of course his quick witted humor, he would always say something funny to make me laugh. Memories of going to 106 Marshall for a call and always ringing Mr R's bell to let us in and he would always say "I gotcha back if you need". Its such a sad loss to all of us, he always put smiles on our face and always had a positive attitude, a Great Man who will be missed!

We miss you so much and still can't believe that you're gone. I am thankful, however, that I have so many fond memories with you to look back on. From our numerous visits to your house in Little Ferry to your many trips to Upstate New York, I'm thankful that we had the time together that we did. One of my favorite childhood memories is when Kyle and I went with you to pick up Aunt Kitty from work and hid in the back of the car to surprise her-this is still so vivid in my mind and always makes me smile! I will always remember your love of family and your passion for poetry, and how special I would feel each & every time you would sit down and share your writing with me. We love you and will miss you always!

We will all miss you! You always had a smile on your face and we will never forget every time you talk to someone you always made them feel like they were the most important person in the room. From taking me to my first haircut to coming up to support Mom's Team Betty at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, we will never forget your passion and love for every family member. Each time you would leave from a visit, you would always say I Love You and we are here to say it to you now! We love you! We miss you! Jerry, I miss my brother already. I just talk to you two weeks ago and remember you saying, "Ok talk to you later, love you and I told you love you too! One of your favorite sayings to me was "BANANAS  BANANAS! I am still in disbelief.

Dear Dad (The Best Dad Ever),

Our hearts are broken. We have all learned so much from you, but most of all, your best quality was your love for our family. You were so proud of Nora, Jay (Jerry) and me. I have never seen a prouder Grandfather than you; you adored Sean, C.J., Hunter, and Kate. You loved your parents, brothers and sisters, so much. We were lucky to have you as our Dad. I am thinking about our Saturday visits to Long Island, our yearly vacations, our Sunday night card games, the Christmas stockings that you put up yearly for each member of our family, the letter you wrote to J. Edgar Hoover for me when I was eight years old, your beautifully written poems about members of our family and the heroes of 9/11, the letters you wrote to our Presidents, the Pope, and other dignitaries, how proud you were to be a Marine, your sense of humor, and, of course, your love for your wife/our Mom, Kay. 

I will never forget that you were always there for me and thank you for watching Sean and C.J. for us.
