Diana McLaughlin

Diana McLaughlin, age 91, of Paramus, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022.The daughter of Italian immigrants, was born on June 2, 1931 in Union City, New Jersey. She attended Saint Joseph’s Elementary School in Union City and The Academy of Saint Aloysius in Jersey City. Upon graduation, she worked as a model and a buyer for a local department store. She married Joseph Mclaughlin on September 15, 1951 and had two sons. She was a stay-at-home mom, den mother and served a term as PTA president until 1965 when she became a temporary clerk at Nissan Motors in Secaucus. She quickly moved through the ranks, and in 1976 she was appointed the distribution manager of the East region in Columbus, Ohio and became the first female executive in the company. She worked at Nissan until her retirement in 1986. In her retirement Diana loved the company of her family and friends. She had a colorful personality and a happy life eating and drinking with friends, shopping at the local malls, traveling on cruises and tours and caring for her sons and grandchildren. She will be best remembered for making people laugh. Diana is survived by her sons, Joseph and Jeffrey, four grandchildren and four great grand-children. A visitation for Diana will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 4 to 8PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Friday, September 30, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094. Thence to at Madonna Cemetery, 2070 Hoefley's Lane, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
