Wesley, a long-time resident of Shoreline, WA, was born in a small village in Taishan, China, on January 22, 1932. At 17, he immigrated to Calgary, Canada with big immigrant dreams, yet understood only a few words of English at the time. Fiercely independent with a thirst for knowledge, Wesley immediately began his long career in the restaurant industry and was successfully self-taught in real estate and investments.
In 1952, Wesley met the love of his life, Lillian Wong. After a two-year courtship, they married on October 10, 1954. In the following years they raised 7 children.
Wesley was preceded in death by his darling Lillian. He is survived by his 7 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Wesley will especially be remembered for his hospitality, friendliness, chivalry, and his love to travel the world with his beloved Ah-Lan (Lillian). He also loved to watch football and discuss strategy with his grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Seattle, WA, with a reception to follow at HK Dim Sum in Seattle. Masks will be provided for all to wear while indoors.
