Virginia B. Miller, 86, of Shoreline, WA, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born July 16, 1931 in Seattle, WA, the daughter of the late Roger W. and Hattie L. (Lovejoy) Stevens. Virginia was a traditional stay at home mom in her early years who also worked part-time in real estate. She was a frequent volunteer at her daughters' schools and served as a Girl Scout leader. In later years she was a cook at Frederick & Nelson's department store in downtown Seattle and she enjoyed working in retail sales at the Clog Factory in Pioneer Square and the Seattle Center until she retired in 1993. Virginia loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards, and watching sports -- especially football and golf. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Hensley, Joyce Ruffcorn, Regina "Gina" Cantu, and Virginia Olsen; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren plus expectant twins on the way and two great great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Stevens, her daughter Linda Schatz, and her ex-husband and best friend, Earl "Ted" Miller. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4 at 12:00 p.m. at Rock of Hope Baptist Church, 7812 224th Street SW, Edmonds, WA 98026; officiated by Pastor Dave Foster. A reception will follow the service at the church. A private committal will be held at Abbey View Memorial Park, 3601 Alaska Road, Brier, WA.
