Virginia was the youngest of four daughters born to Arthur and Mary Edwards. She was born on June 21, 1907 in Alva, Oklahoma. At about 10 years of age, she moved with her family to Seattle. She attended University Heights and later graduated from Roosevelt High School. Upon graduation, she attended the Cornish School of Music and Dance and later took practical nursing instruction from the Virginia Mason School of Nursing. She married Douglas ''Doug'' Brown and two children: RoseMary and Thomas were born to that marriage. He died married many years ago. Later she married Victor E. Aumann on June 20, 1942 in Lake City, WA. Vicky and David were born to this marriage. After 55 years of marriage, Victor preceded Virginia in death on January 14, 1997, in Bothell, WA.
Virginia passed away August 7, 2001 in Bothell, WA. She is survived by her children: Rose Mary husband Francis Klontz of Bend, Oregon; Thomas Aumann of Federal Way, WA; Vicky husband Bob Tiberio of Seattle, WA; and David wife Margaret Ann Aumann of Bothell, WA. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren: Jayme L. Russell, Jessica L. Aumann, Jason D. R. Aumann, Janet P. Sigouin, Tina E. Gering, Corey Rodman, Denise Dewez, Laura J. Tiberio, Michael Klontz, Steve Klontz, Tim Klontz, Mary Shisler; 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Her loving family and friends will miss her nurturing care, generosity and witty sense of humor. She was loved by all.
Viewing is Saturday, August 11, 2001 from 8am to11:50am at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin 12noon Sat. at the Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave. N. Seattle WA 98133. Committal services will follow the chapel services at Evergreen Memorial Park.
