her sleep on February 24th at the Redmond Care and Rehabilitation Center in Redmond, WA after a long battle with multi-infarct dementia. She is survived by her ex-husband Ke-Ming and daughter Zion Wu Anderson and son Dr. Allan Wu. She is also survived by two grandchildren Asher and Oisene. Tina worked for Boeing in the B-1 contract division until her retirement in 1991 and was also a quietly successful equities investor sharing much of her wealth with the Chinese-American community of the Greater Seattle area by catering and organizing numerous charity and cultural exchange events, many times self-financed. She had also served as a private benefactor and host to Chinese students from her village of Shanghai in the UW graduate Engineering and Computer Sciences program. Her compassion for others was matched only by her passion for Beijing (Peking) Opera, of which she was an active member and performer for the Hwa-Sheng Chinese Opera Club. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held this Friday at Acacia funeral home at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tina Lu-Tour Wu’s name to the Seattle Children’s Hospital in the spirit of her love and compassion for children.
Arrangements under the direction of Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Seattle, Washington.
