Sylvia was always a treat to chat with about all variety of topics. I treasured her caring attitude, snappy wit, and thoughtful musings while she cut and styled my hair. I used to fly to CA to get my hair done but didn't need to once I found Sylvia over a decade ago. She is truly an artist and will always be remembered fondly whenever I look back on old photos right after a session with her. She always felt more like a friend than anything else because she was always happy to see me. I am so glad I got to see her one last time before she departed this lifetime and I will carry her memory with me always.

    Dear Sylvia, I am so broken hearted of your passing. You were a bright light in this world, and made it a better place. I always looked to you for your insight, understanding, and wit. You were one of the most creative people I have ever met. 
     I loved hearing about your latest project, whether it was acquiring some find, at a second hand store, a tale of Chloe’s latest adventures, or your birds, or about your axolotls’. I look around my home and see gifts from you, for as long as I’ve known you, you have always been generous. Artwork, jewelry, a beautiful outside planter, a tiny greenhouse, a jeweled collar for my dog. I remember a trip we took to Los Angeles, scouting down deals and steals, having drinks on a rooftop, meeting fascinating people. I will never ever forget you, as long as I live.  I love you so. I am so sorry for your loss.💖 Sylvia cut & colored my hair for years. She always did a fabulous job. I so appreciated I could sit in her chair & just chill. I never had to keep a conversation going which I so appreciated. 
I talk ALL day as a real estate broker & Sylvia & her chair were a zone of quietude for me. Something to be treasured. 
As my act of Kindness in honor of Sylvia’s life I will make a donation to a local food bank. Thank you.

Sylvia was the most spiritually intelligent person I have ever known.  I feel truly blessed that I spent a decade calling her a best friend.  We lost touch these last few years but she will always have a huge place in my heart.  I love her and she will be truly missed by many.  RIP my friend.  Until we meet again.

Sylvia was such a bright light, such a giving and loving soul to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. I feel lucky to have called her my friend. No matter how much time went by between our visits - it seemed like only minutes when we would reconnect. I’ve never met anyone like Sylvia. She had such a warm  heart and gave so much of herself to everyone. I will never, ever forget her, and will try to remember all of the wonderful advice she’s given me over the years. I met Sylvia through a woman with an amazing hair cut I stopped  on the streets of portland, Oregon to find out who had given her the cut. She directed me to the “artist”, which was Sylvia. I would ride the train up to Seattle every eight week for years to have her cut my hair. She was truly amazing! So colorful, kind, caring and talented. My heart goes out to her friends, family and colleagues at such a sad loss of a true one of a kind!! 

Sylvia was absolutely beautiful inside and out. We instantly connected and she became like a mother figure to me. This world lost such a beautiful soul too soon but she will always forever be in my heart. I love you Sylvia and I wish I could hug you one more time. You always gave the best hugs, advices, stories... you were simply just the best at everything... Until I can see you again, take care of yourself. <3 

I send my condolences to Sylvia’s family and friends.  What a wonderful person!  She was SO kind, SO generous, SO genuine.   Too late to thank you once again, Sylvia, face to face, but I send my thanks to you, somewhere in this universe.
