Stanley Armand Moe passed away in his home on 10/1/2022. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Stanley lived an amazing and full life. He grew up in Beltrame Minnesota with seven brothers and sisters. The siblings remained close their entire lives. The brothers were often referred to lovingly as the "Uncles". The stories of the family get-togethers are endless and will be passed down from generation to generation.
Stan joined the army in 1955 and served in the Korean war. He loved his country without fail. After he left the Army, he met his first wife Beatrice (Billie), and they began to build a life together. Stan and Billie went to Washington State for their honeymoon and loved it so much they decided to move there permanently. They began a family in 1961 and had two wonderful children, Stacy and Stewart. Stan and Billie loved to travel (especially to Vegas), they loved family get togthers, and having a good laugh.
Stan worked for Boeing for most of his life retiring in his 60's. His love of airplanes was endless. He loved that his son worked in the industry so they could talk for hours about airplanes. After losing his first wife Billie in 1994, Stan remained single until he reconnected with Ruth Fladeland from Minnesota. Stan and Ruth married in 2004 and enjoyed traveling, dancing, having parties with family and friends and watching their favorite sports teams. They enjoyed 17 wonderful years together before Ruth passed away in 2021.
Stan was a true storyteller. You could always count on him to know everyone's name, their cousins, their children and their stories. Him and his daughter Stacy shared this special talent. They loved to talk about stories of the family and the past.
He was a strong, independent man, he was a man of faith, a man you could count on as a father, friend, or brother. He was a giving, kind, and funny man. He will be greatly missed.
Stan is survived by his sister Marian, his children Stacy Cowell, Stewart (Laura) Moe, and stepdaughter Kim (Chris) Mercer, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
We know you are in Heaven now reconnecting and laughing with those who went before you. Until we meet again Stan happy storytelling.
