Solveig will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a gentle, loving woman. Our hearts and prayers are with all her family and friends. We hope you are all feeling the love and warmth of all your wonderful memories. 


On behalf og the family in Norway,we will like to express our compassion for the loss of Solveig. She was like a sister to all of uncle Alf's sister and his brother, always easy to get along with. Even if she didn't speak so much norwegian, she always had a good communication with all of us. It was like aunt Bjorg said," we spoke two different language, but we had a good dialogue."
The 9 of us that had the great privilege to visit you last summer, are so happy that we took the chance,and got to see her last year.
I experienced our last conversation like something special. Before we left for Norway, she came up to me saying:" This must be goodbye, I think we will never see each other again."  Surprised and sad to hear those words, I knew it could be the truth. With tears in my eyes I replied:" but aunt Solveig, we will see each other in heaven."  "Sure! I didn't think about that." she answered me.
Thank you aunt Solveig, for what you have been.

I have so many memories of my Grandma. Starting with the pajamas we got every Christmas Eve. It was always fun when we got to model them. Even Bobby and Michael had to participate. I loved getting pajamas. 

Of course we have many memories of camping. Grandma loved to swim. She never hesitated to get into the ice cold waters of Lake Wenatchee and in later years the green slime of Lake Unity in Oregon while on a week long trip with us. Grandma and I came out of that lake covered in green slime. 

Grandma used to watch us when we were little. Like most kids we did not like to eat our vegetables. So Grandma would take peas and carrots and just smash them up in the mashed potatoes till the potatoes were completely green.

My Grandma was the best Grandma. I already miss her terribly but her legacy will live on forever in all of us.
