Ruth S. Lundy King

Born to Isaac and Ellen Bambrough Sawyer in Springfield Illinois. After completing High School she trained and worked as a Registered Nurse in Chicago ILL where she met and married LeRoy Fred Lundy MD in 1950. They moved to Seattle where they settled and raised 3 children. After the death of her husband in 1985 she married Afton King in 1990.

Ruth loved her family and was always there to support and encourage them in anyway she could. She was involved in many activities over the years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the DAR, University Methodist Church, the Womens Auxiliary for the King County Medical Association. She supported her children in their varied activities as they grew up. She loved Art, dancing, golf, skiing and traveling all over the world.

Ruth was predeceased by LeRoy F. Lundy(husband), Afton King(husband), William F. Lundy(Son), Evelyn Dunkleburg (Sister)

Ruth is survived by Son, Thomas L. Lundy(Omkari) Seattle, Daughter, Elizabeth L. Hamilton(Larry) Fredericksburg VA, Daughter in law, Barbara Lundy Seattle, Step daughter, Janice Blair(Randy) Seattle, Step daughter, Linda Brooks (Michael) Seattle, 5 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren. Sister, Nancy Darling Springfield ILL, Judy Lawrence(Earl)Springfield ILL., Virginia Curless( Kent) Pittsfield ILL, Brother, Robert Sawyer(Barbara) White Bear Lake, MN. Ruth also has numerous extended family throughout the country.

Service will be held September 28th at 12:00PM at Acacia Funeral Home.
