Ronald was born September 14, 1943, to parents Elmer Johnson and Mary Savannah Johnson, nee Brien, at Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville, Washington.
Ron was the 5th child born out of 10 kids. It was unknown if Ron was baptized, but he believed in GOD, so a symbol of faith and obedience.
He was known to many as “Butch”. He grew up with his family near Colville, Washington, where they all attended schools in the area. At the time during High School, Ron lived and worked for Harold Larsen on his farm in Colville.
Ron graduated from Colville High School on June 4, 1962, and Ron went on to attend Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington in 1963 for Accounting and Business Office studies. On January 22, 1964, Ron received a diploma from Kinman Business University for completion of Business Administration.
During the year 1964, Ron continued accounting studies at Auerswald Business College, in Seattle, Washington.
From June 1964 to January 2008, Ron worked for various stock brokerage firms as bookkeeper, stock records, administering dividends, stock transfers, managing personnel, margins, and cashiering.
On February 4, 1967, Ron was united in marriage to Marcia L. Nielsen in the Church of St. Andrews in Seattle, Washington. They were later divorced on January 12, 1973. They had 2 children from this marriage, Daniel and Kerri.
On January 15, 1977, Ron was united in marriage to Tonia F Naab in Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church in Seattle, Washington. Ron accepted Toni’s son Ed as his own.
Ron had many interests, but one big one was researching his past family. Toni helped him when she took over for her dad and joined Ancestry.com.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Mary, as well as brothers Robert, Harvey and Fred.
Those left to mourn the death of Ronald are his wife, Toni with their 3 kitties, sons Daniel Johnson with wife Stacy, Ed Naab with wife Julie and daughter Kerri Krause. Sisters Georgia Marvel, Letha Jennings, Margaret Buchholz, Eva Calhoun, and Kathleen Kramer. Sister Barbara Al-Kadi is sadly unknown. Grandson’s Taylor Scheinost, Cole Krause, Christian and Marshall Johnson, granddaughter’s Kaylee Krause, Sarah and Gabriella Naab. And great granddaughter Chloe Scheinost.
Ronald is being cremated and buried in Evergreen Washelli in Seattle in a plot that when the time comes will be shared with his loving wife, Toni.
Date for burial and celebration of life is expected in late April 2024 in hopes that weather will not prevent so many from being able to join.
