Paul Kaplan passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seattle on March 30, 1922 and attended Garfield High School. He served in WWII as a bomber pilot stationed in Italy. When he returned he married the love of his life, his darling Annette and they were married 65 years. They raised 3 daughters, Sandy (Stuart), Paula (John) and Lynn (Scott). They had 6 grandchildren, Shawn (Amal), Aaron, Rachel (Matt), Michele (Jason), Matthew and Adam. They also had 5 great grandchildren. Summers were spent on Camano Island at Juniper Beach where all have fond memories.
Paul started his career at Brenner Brothers Bakery where he sold and delivered bread for 7 years. Subsequently, he purchased his own grocery store in the Wallingford area and maintained that location for over 20 years. He then worked part time at Hagen’s grocery for about 8 years before retirement.
