I was so sorry to read of Jim's passing in Saturday's paper.  He was a great and kind man and a wonderful co-worker at Boeing.  My best to all of you.  He will be sorely missed.

I have so many fond memories of family get togethers and time I spent staying with Uncle Jim and Aunt Lois when we were young. Uncle Jim will be missed so much and I love you! Aunt Lois I am here for you and if you need ANYTHING do not hesitate to call me. 253-735-0401

The word I think about to explain Jim is 'treasure'. And it is a treasure that I have a hard time putting words to. 
Jim is a treasure- showing his richness in love of family, both near and far, the many long term friends and his many interests. 
I met Jim at Boeing - BCS in fact, so many years ago. He was a huge support with the loss of my sister-in-law, and then, soon after- my dad. He was able to give me strong but well experienced support with his loss of his son, Chris. 
In the many years of lunches and caring, Jim talked about his love of his wife, Lois, and his son, Russell, and all of his family. He was so proud of Russell and Jackie and their many successes in life. He shared his years experience of family, marriage, plus there were his multitude of relatives, and long time friends. 
My husband, Mike and I were so fortunate to share part of our honeymoon with Jim & Lois, along with their longtime friends, Joanne and Iowie. 
Jim was the glue that kept the lunches of Diana and I going for the many, many years. I thank God for this special friendship, and especially the gift of Jim. I will treasure my memories forever.

TO Lois and Family:

The Coghlans hold a special place in our hearts as we cherished you as friends and former neighbors with whom we enjoyed many great occasions.

From Russell being Ryan's socccer coach, the many fouth of July street picnics, dinners together following many garage sales, Christmas Season get-togethers, the many visits with Jim and Marilyn during the day; these are great memories that give Jim a special place in our hearts and he will be greatly missed.

Our love and sympathies go out to you, Lois and your family.  You are in our prayers.  Jim was a very special guy.  I was so thrilled you both came to my 80th birthday.

We had a lot of respect for Jim.  He was really a nice guy.

Jim â€“ I will miss you so very much.   Whenever I explained our special friendship, I described you as â€œmy friend and mentorâ€.   So many years ago, when I started working at Boeing, you took me under you wing and helped me navigate the crazy world of Boeing and computers.   I remember racking my brain for hours over problems and your calm, kind, logical voice telling me to let it go, go home and sleep on it --- it will be better in the morning.   Voila, it was â€“ the answers would appear.   

Then I left Boeing, but we stayed in contact --- all of these years.   You and Chris and I  often spoke of the number of years we had known each other and how unique that we still met for lunches at the Metro Grill at â€œour tableâ€â€¦ I will miss those lunches.  

My life is very blessed for knowing you â€¦.I am not ready for you to be gone, but I know you are in a good place.   My thoughts and prayers go out to Lois and all of your family.  I canâ€™t even imagine the magnitude of their sorrow.     My dear friend, just know you are very special in my heart and I will never forget our friendship.    With love - Diana
