Pamela Jo Peters, 47, was granted her Duke blue angel wings on June 17, 2017. Pam was a beloved daughter, caring sister, devoted aunt, and dedicated friend. She touched everyone in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.
Pam’s life seems too short to all of us, yet we hope to find peace in the fact that those who knew her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which she lived. Her exuberant smile, contagious laughter, and engaging personality brought so much joy to her family and friends.
Pam gave us all such courage and hope as she struggled with recent health issues. She most loved being an auntie extraordinaire to her six nieces and nephews. Pammy Jo had a passion for Duke basketball, traveling, watching movies (especially Harry Potter), Chicago Bear football, and beautifully manicured nails. And, she could spend hours in her rocking chair reading any manner of books.
Pam worked for Anthem (Amerigroup Corporation) for 8 years, where she built many strong bonds and friendships. She will be remembered for her laughter, honesty, and tenacity.
Pam is survived by her loving parents, Lynne and Al Peters of Fort Collins, Colorado; sisters Becki Frisk (and husband Jason Frisk) and Amy Huard (and husband Steve Huard); nieces Alexandra Smith, Danica Frisk, and Sophie Huard; nephews Sam Smith, Carter Frisk, and Sayre Huard.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Pam on Sunday, July 9, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Sunflower Community Center in Fort Collins, Colorado.
A memorial fund for the education of her nieces and nephews will be established through her estate, managed by her parents, Al and Lynne Peters. Any donations may be made to:

As Pam’s best friend for 30 years lovingly wrote, “...Today, I don’t say good-bye. Instead I say, ‘Until the next memory.’”
