Pamela Frieze Cobb (1939 – 2023) passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2023, from an acute illness. She was born in Seattle, WA, to the late Ernest and Lucille Frieze and graduated from Roosevelt High School and the University of Washington, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Theta sorority. Pamela was a loving wife to Dr. Oliver E. Cobb, with whom she shared a deep passion for golfing and fly-fishing in Montana.
In addition to her husband, Pamela is survived by her sister, Beverly Jacobs, and her daughters, Page Huletz (Norm) and Stephanie Feldt (Stuart), and her step-children, Alison Herber (Paul), Pamela Cobb (Craig Faulks), and Henry Cobb. She was a cherished grandmother to Turner, Madeline, Jo Jo, Nathan, Spencer, Lauren, Owen, Catherine, Anna, Emily, Will, and Oliver G. She also leaves behind her adoring kitty, Willow.
Pamela was an avid reader who loved to entertain, and she will be remembered for her grace, kindness, and generosity, as well as her unwavering love for her family. She was a dedicated patron of the Seattle Chamber Music Society and a co-founder of the Seattle Art Museum’s curatorship for African Art. She and her husband spent many winters in Palm Springs where they were members of the O’Donnell Golf Club. In Seattle, she was an active member of Sand Point Country Club.
Pamela will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her spirit will live on through the memories she leaves behind. Deep appreciation to Northwest Hospital for the wonderful care and attention given by the nurses and physicians during Pam’s all too brief hospitalization.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Planned Parenthood, an organization that was very important to her.
