Nancy Ruth Bennett passed away surrounded by family on April 8, 2025. Nancy was born on March 10, 1952, in Buffalo NY. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Ruth Hayes. Nancy is survived by her brothers William Hayes (Deborah), Michael Hayes (Judy) and Patrick Hayes (Patricia). She graduated from Shorecrest High School class of 1970 and went on to receive her masters from The University of Washington.
Nancy met and married her high school sweetheart Ronald Bennett for 16 great years. Nancy gained two lifelong sisters in her marriage to Ron: Nancy Goodson and Donna Lee Bennett. She was blessed with two children, Megan Hendrickson (Donnie) and Brandon Bennett (Rosie), plus one grandchild Kailey Hendrickson, and step-grandchildren Camilia, Blaik and Ashten.
Early on in life Nancy taught ballet and worked in the children’s shoe department at Nordstrom. This turned into one of her favorite hobbies, shopping. She had a very successful career at Boeing and retired in 2018. Once retired, she enjoyed traveling often. Some of her adventures led her to Hawaii, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Charleston, and California including many trips to Disneyland. She was a devoted sister, mother, and grandmother supporting and helping her children and grandchildren through every stage of life. She will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will occur Thursday, April 24, 2025, 9:00 AM at Saint Mark Catholic Church, followed by Graveside Service at Holyrood Cemetery, 205 N 205th St, Shoreline, WA 98155.
