Michael John Sawyers, 61, of Yelm, Washington, passed away February 17, 2015. He was born in Portland, Oregon on December 3, 1953. He was a graduate from West Seattle High School. He was married to Rhonda Shawnell Sawyers on September 25, 2006. He worked as a warehouse foreman for Earl M. Jorgensen Steel. He had a passion for rockhounding, fishing, camping and loved the outdoors. Michael was survived his wife, Rhonda Sawyers, 3 children, Jason Sawyers, Alissa Garza and Candace Sawyers, 13 grandchildren, 3 siblings, Janelle Sawyers, John Kogle and Margaret Kogle and his step-father, Roy Kogle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshal and Janet Sawyers. Funeral Service will be 1 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
