Mary Lou Ellison was born on 08/16/1945 to the parents of Sam Pate Jr and Rosetta Dean in Port Arthur Texas. She was the 4th of 8 children (1 preceding in death Clarence Pate). Mary Lou moved to Denver Colorado in September 1957 with her mother and attended Adams Elementary and Manuel High School.
Mary Lou was a mother of three beautiful daughters Stephanie Pate, Robin Jordan, and Melinda Gadison. She moved her children to Seattle Washington in August 1980 for a better life.
Mary Lou worked as an operator for Mountain Bell in Denver and retired at Us West. Where she retired after 32 years at the age of 55 years old.
Mary Lou was an advert CD collector which some was sent to her from her brother Sam Pate (AJ). She steadily played “Down Homes Blues “, literally all night long. She loved the mountains, collecting coins and clowns. She enjoyed playing Bingo with Stephanie, Art Festival trips with Robin, enjoys traveling and visiting historical sites with Melinda.
She was Mary Lou and Ms. Ellison to many that knew her. She was vibrant, outgoing, and loved to throw a dam good party. Her smile was always kind, friendly, and always greeted people with a “Hey Girlfriend”. She loved to share her stories to those who listened.
Survives Mary is her daughters Stephanie Pate, Robin Jordan, and Melinda Gadison. Others that survive Mary Lou is her siblings Sam Pate (AJ), Rose Long, Allen Dauphine, Wayne Dauphine, Deborah Dauphine and Marilyn Richards. Her grand children Donesha Hall, Kuron Pate, Mykihaul Gadison, Elon Pate, D’leon Pate, Auston Gadison, Kendrick Watkins, Kennedy Watkins, Kameron Watkins (AKA My boyfriend) and her great grandchild DaShaun Hall-Cater.
Friends and family alike will remember Mary Lou by her house parties, laughter and simply just being a good woman. Mary Lou slightly closed the door to this life and opened her eyes to Glory.
