Mary Ann Cromwell, passed away on March 19th 2024 in Burien, WA at the age of 78 after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on November 20th 1945 in Worthington, Minnesota, Mary was the only girl in the middle of four brothers.
In 1964 Mary married Larry Cromwell and in 1965 they left their hometown of Minnesota and settled into Washington state where they raised their daughter Lori and son Jeff. They were happily married for 45 years before Larry's passing in 2009.
Mary was an incredibly loyal worker. Her life career was as an Executive Secretary. She retired in 2013 from the Sea-Tac Fire Department as such. Her fire family's support during and after her husband's passing meant the world to her.
In 2013 Mary met Skip at a weekend camping trip. They became inseparable and spent the next 11 years loving one another and sharing a life full of laughter and good times.
She enjoyed the simple things in life . Dancing, camping, playing card games, and most importantly spending time with family.
Mary is survived by her daughter Lori, son-in-law Tony and grandson Kyle; son Jeff, daughter-in-law Whitney and grandchildren Tanner and Lilly; beloved partner Francis "Skip"; brothers Robert, sister-in-law Joanne; Earl. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, parents Leonard and Irene, and brothers William and Larry.
Her legacy of compassion and kindness has touched the lives of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service for Mary will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 1:00 PM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
