Marjorie B. Heldridge passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on June 7, 2016 at the age of 103 in Seattle, Washington. She was born in Rosedale, Kansas December 10, 1912 and grew up in Council Bluffs , Iowa. She was the daughter of Lillian and Ed Brockman. Marjorie graduated from Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs and married Meredith J. Heldridge in 1934. She had three children, Robert, Anne, and John. She was preceded in death by her husband Meredith and her son Robert and daughter Anne.
Marjorie’s passion was art and she was a talented painter and sculptor. She continued to paint until shortly before her death. She was also an avid golfer and crack bridge player. Throughout her life she was active in community affairs wherever she lived, as both volunteer and board member of many organizations.
She is survived by a son, John E. Heldridge of Edmonds, Washington, four grandchildren, Tracy Derifield of Dublin, Ohio, and Andrea Seeley, Christopher Heldridge, and Nika Heldridge, all in the Seattle area. She leaves behind 10 great grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
