Lucille Jean Getchell (Ringhouse), 94, of Seattle, passed away on May 31, 2022. She was born in Sedro Woolley, Washington on April 16, 1928. Lucille graduated from Sedro Woolley High School when she was 17 years old and moved to Seattle where she met Herbert Getchell. They were married June 11, 1949. Lucille worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance for 4 years. Then Herbert and Lucille started their life together. Lucille and Bert were members of the Bitter Lake Community Center for 30 years. They helped with Halloween, Christmas, Easter parties and other events held at the Center. They so enjoyed their community which they lived in for 60 years.
Herbert and Lucille are survived by their daughters Jeanne Larson and Theresa Curtiss (with Garry).
They also leave behind 5 Grandchildren: Tracy Larson (VanHoof), Bradley Larson, Michael Larson, Brett Curtiss, and Jennifer Curtiss (Murphy).
They were blessed with 7 Great-Grandchildren: Bo, Chase, Blake, Emma, Addison, Michael and Courtney who they loved being around.
The Celebration of Life for both Herbert and Lucille Getchell will be held at Bitter Lake Community Center on August 27, 2022 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
